The 9 December 2011 signing of the Treaty of Croatia´s Accession to the European Union and the positive outcome of the referendum on Croatia´s accession have enabled the process of ratification of the Treaty by the EU Member States. Once the Treaty is ratified by all Member States, Croatia´s membership in the Union will be formalised as of 1 July 2013. Information on the ratification process can be found in this section.
The prize presentation ceremony of the EU Delegation´s competition called "Croatia – the 28th EU Member" took place in the EU Information Centre on 27 July. This was also the last event to take place in the EU Information Centre because the Centre closes on 30 June, 2013.
