Slovakian Parliament Ratifies Croatia´s Accession Treaty
An overwhelming majority of Slovakian parliament deputies – 145 out of 150 of them – have supported the Treaty of Croatia's Accession to the European Union. Slovakia has thus become the first member state to ratify the Accession Treaty in its national parliament.
The process of Slovakian ratification of the Accession Treaty, signed in Brussels on 9 December, will be completed when Slovakian president Ivan Gašparovič co-signs it.
