Denmark Unanimously ratifies Croatia´s Accession Agreement
Denmark has ratified Croatia's accession agreement with the EU as the 26th, last but one member state of the Union. Unanimously, with all 113 present representatives voting in favour of it, Danish parliament has ratified the agreement, judging that Croatia is ready for the EU accession now that all the necessary reforms have been implemented and membership criteria met.
Before Croatia's forthcoming accession scheduled for 1 July, only Germany has yet to ratify the accession agreement in its parliament. It is expected that the Bundestag will do it 16 May. A delegation of Croatian parliament, led by speaker of the parliament Josip Leko, attended the session of Danish parliament. Just before the session, Leko met speaker of Danish parliament Mogens Lykketoft.
